Co-operative Hour Opportunities

  • Rummage Sale for 2010 – We are still looking for a committed, capable parent for drop off/pick up of rummage items.  Parents/community members should contact Carol Heiney.
 

 

Banks Christian Academy is a cooperative school, the tme and energy contributed by parents ultimately benefiting the child/ren.  Each family is required to assist with at least three of the following events in order to meet their cooperative hours requirement.  Additional ways to assist are listed in general opportunities and apply towards cooperative hours requirement as well.  Hours must be completed at the end of the school year or will be billed to each family at $10.00/hour for the remaining balance.  Hours worked during the summer apply to the upcoming school year.

  • January – Open House
  • February – Family Fun Night
  • March – Fun Run
  • April – Student Showcase

  • June – Field Day & Rummage Sale Preparation
  • July – Rummage Sale & Rummage Sale Clean-up
  • August – School Preparation

 

General Opportunities
In addition to the above events there are other opportunites to participate.  These include but are not limited to:

Earn Double Hours
  • Rummage – preparation during the school year, the sale and clean-up.

  • East Coast History Tour Fundraising (Biennial)
8th & 12th Grade Students
  • 8th & 12th Grade Graduation Reception

 

***  Tasks that involve working directly with children require the individual attend a Child Safety meeting and received approval.
